Institute “Sibtsvetmetniiproekt” is organized in August, 1949 on the basis of the Special technical bureau #1.

DO-1 was engaged in elaborations of projects such as the mining-concentrating combines and other objects of “Yeniseystroy”, carried out scientific researches on geology, mining, technologies of processing of ores non-ferrous metals and to refinement of antimony.

In 1954 the Special technical bureau #1 has been transferred in structure of the Ministry of non-ferrous metallurgy of the USSR. By order Mintsvetmet the USSR from January, 24th, 1956, #22. DO -1 is reorganized in the Siberian state project institute of non-ferrous metallurgy — “Sibtsvermetniiproekt” which in 1957 has been transferred in structure of Krasnoyarsk Union of a national economy.

From May, 31st, 1958, #3163-r and the Decision Krasnoyarsk’s Sovnarhoz from June, 13th, 1958 #168, institute is transformed by the order of Ministerial council of RSFSR in Siberian state research and a project institute “Sibtsvetmetniiproekt”.

From February, 28th, 1964 #327-r the institute has been transferred by the order of Ministerial council of the USSR from Krasnoyars’s Sovnarhoz to the State committee on black and non-ferrous metallurgy attached to the State plan of the USSR, and since 1965, it is a part of the Ministry of non-ferrous metallurgy of the USSR.

Under the order of USSR Mintsvetmet, the institute “Sibtsvetmetniiproekt” is certain responsible for technical development of melting-spar sub industry and to research works on the analytical control of platinum containing materials.

According the order of Minister, the engineering center “Pereclaz” is made in institute in 1987.It is made responsible for perfection of manufacture of powders electro technical periclase of the premium sorts.

Since 1969 the institute is a general designer of the melting-spar enterprises in the Mongolian National Republic.

The mountain-concentrating combine in area Haar-Ajrag and mine BERH have been already constructed and give out production In MNR.
